Dan, Dan the Garbage Man

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Congratulations to my brother, Dan, on receiving his law degree from UCLA (also, from the looks of this photo, congrats are in order for escaping the infamous L.A. Strangler -- way to go, bro'!).

I'm so proud.

But he'll always be Dan, Dan the Garbage Man to me.

Thanks, G-Man. Dan will be a fantastic lawyer. He's going to study for the bar and eventually practice in NYC (in fact, he's heading out there in a couple of days to find an apartment). Unfortunately, I won't be seeing him until next month, perhaps later. I can't wait! He's not met his nephew yet (my boy), so it's going to be an extra special reunion.

Thanks, O! You'll get to congratulate him in person soon! Gawd, how many years has it been? Since before he graduated Syracuse U? He's changed so much since then. Handsome little devil.

Make sure you mention his horrible afro-mullet.

Or maybe not. ;-)

Congrats! A proud day indeed!
A lawyer in the family sounds like a very good thing!

Wow!! That is awesome - I have to agree - you all must be one smart family. . . xxx

Thanks, Bev. Yes, a lawyer in the family certainly would be a good thing as it might balance the mafia aspect a bit. ;-)

Alex, I know the rest of my family wouldn't mind me saying that Dan's mind shines the brightest -- kid speaks fluent Mandarin, passable Arabic, and is a self-taught master of computers (ten years old and all he wanted to do was tear apart computers). Oh, and he taught himself bass and six string, is an admirable guitarist and songwriter.

Whew! Someone stop me before I drown in pride.
